Our Services

Every kind of non-emergency medical ride, one trusted team.

DayLight Med Transportation handles wheelchair, ambulatory, gurney, dialysis, hospital discharge, senior, VA, adult day health, and long-distance medical rides across El Cajon and San Diego County. Whatever kind of ride you need, the same trained team and the same vehicles you trust show up.

Every DayLight driver is CPR and first-aid certified, HIPAA-trained, background-checked, and trained in Q-straint four-point wheelchair securement. We plan around recurring trips like three-times-a-week dialysis, coordinate directly with families, case managers, and facility staff, and dispatch in Arabic, English, and Spanish. Not sure which ride fits? Call (619) 999-9669 and describe the rider, and we will match the right vehicle and confirm coverage before you book.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT)?

NEMT is safe, scheduled transport to and from medical appointments for patients who do not need an ambulance: dialysis and infusion patients, seniors, wheelchair users, and people coming home from the hospital. DayLight provides ambulatory, wheelchair, and gurney rides across San Diego County with trained, background-checked drivers.

Which service do I need: wheelchair, ambulatory, or gurney?

Choose ambulatory if the rider can walk to the vehicle with little or no help, wheelchair if they stay in a manual or power chair for the trip, and gurney or stretcher if they must remain lying down. If you are not sure, call dispatch and describe the rider and their mobility, and we will match the right vehicle.

Do you serve all of San Diego County?

Yes. We are based at 1181 Greenfield Dr in El Cajon and cover El Cajon, La Mesa, Santee, Lakeside, Spring Valley, Lemon Grove, Chula Vista, San Diego, and the surrounding communities, with long-distance medical rides to Los Angeles, Orange County, and the Inland Empire on request.

Are these rides covered by insurance?

Often, yes. DayLight coordinates rides through Medi-Cal managed care, Medicare Advantage, VA Community Care, and major NEMT broker networks, and offers transparent private-pay pricing. Dispatch verifies coverage for your plan and trip before you book.
