Wheelchair transportation is more than a ramp and a van. It is a trained driver meeting you at the front door, a certified ramp with an anti-slip surface, four Q-straint tie-downs connected to the chair frame (not the arms or footrests), a separate lap belt and shoulder harness for the rider, and a calm conversation through every part of the trip. DayLight handles wheelchair transportation across El Cajon, La Mesa, Santee, Spring Valley, Lemon Grove, Lakeside, Chula Vista, and all of San Diego County - every day of the week.
We serve power chairs, manual chairs, scooters, and bariatric chairs, with vehicles sized to match. Every driver is trained in Q-straint four-point securement, understands how to transfer a rider when needed, and is CPR and first-aid certified. We coordinate with family caregivers, case managers, and facility staff to keep the ride respectful and predictable. If you rely on oxygen, have a transfer board, or bring a service animal, tell us at booking so we can assign the right vehicle.

How it works
- Call or book online. Share the pickup address, appointment location, chair type, and your insurance plan if any.
- We confirm the vehicle and window. Dispatch confirms a pickup window and assigns a driver trained for your chair and mobility needs.
- Door-to-door care. The driver meets you at the door, secures the chair with four tie-downs, and stays with the rider through drop-off.
